2022 Operations Grant Award Recipients
Atlanta Harmony Celebration! ($2,500) – Atlanta Harmony Celebration (AHC!), formed in 2003, is a women's a cappella chorus, singing in the barbershop style.
Gwinnett Classic Theatre ($6,000) Contemporary Classics was founded as Gwinnett Classic Theatre (GCT) in 2019 with the mission: To challenge and transform classic western theater traditions by creating an inclusive community of diverse people Ideas, and cultures.
Lionheart Theatre ($7,000) Lionheart is the longest running Community Theatre in Gwinnett Countym producing 6 full length plays, Children's Camps and musicals and The Lawless Spirits annual ghost tour in October. Lionheart's home is in Historic Downtown Norcross in a beautiful historic chapel built in the 1800's.
Norcross Gallery & Studios ($6,000) A nonprofit volunteer organization, providing artists with creative opportunities and professional resources, thus advancing the cause of Fine Arts awareness and education in the artistic and local communities.
Aurora Theatre ($25,000) Aurora Theatre at Lawrenceville Arts Center celebrates humanity’s rich cultural fabric through creative and educational programming, cultivating a community of belonging for all.
The Georgia Latino Film Alliance & Film Festival ($7,000) Now in its 11th year, the mission of the Georgia Latino Film Alliance is to build awareness of independent films and film as an art form; provide educational opportunities for students and Georgia Latino filmmakers and create opportunities for the Georgia communities to experience high-quality Latino films.
The Hudgens Center for Art & Learning ($17,000) – The Jacqueline Casey Hudgens Center for Art and Learning, founded in 1981, brings art lovers, leaders, and learners together through quality programs and exhibitions.
Suwanee Arts Center ($6,500) Opening in 2016, the organization is dedicated to promoting the appreciation of local art through exhibition, festivals and other arts education. Based in Suwanee, Georgia, the SAC maintains an open membership policy where artists of all types, as well as art lovers, are welcome to be a part of the organization.
Gwinnett Ballet Theatre ($10,000) Gwinnett Ballet Theatre was the first performing non-profit organizations in Gwinnett County and celebrates over four decades of serving the community with entertainment, outreach, and education.
Japanfest ($13,000) an annual festival to promote the understanding and appreciation of Japanese culture to residents in the Southeastern United States and committed to organizing a self-sustaining event, supported in part by the local community, and always strive to bring new and varied cultural artists to the festival.
Live Arts Theatre ($5,000) - Live Arts Theatre is a community focused teaching theatre, where amateurs are paired with experienced professionals to produce diverse, challenging theatrical work which engages, educates, and entertains.
Urban Media Makers Film Festival ($3,500) Founded in November 2001, the mission of the Urban Mediamakers is to promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion of independent digital/media arts content and the creators - African-Americans, Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, Latinos and Native Indians.
